About Terrand Smith
A consummate retail professional, Terrand Smith oversaw close to $1 Billion in revenue during her decade long career in corporate retail. Working at the headquarters of CVS, Sears/Kmart, 7-Eleven, and Steelcase, she managed, grew, and restored categories with thousands of SKUs and hundreds of vendor partners in over 15,000 retail outlets.
Her strengths were in optimizing product assortments; establishing pricing strategies; developing impactful promotions; streamlining inefficiencies; negotiating with vendors and closely managing profit and loss statements. Her success was in leading her businesses to increased sales, market share and profitability. She drove key innovation projects that created new business models, growth and additional revenue streams.
In early 2014, Terrand ventured down the entrepreneurial path and co-founded a technology start up that leveraged much of her background at Steelcase. In 2016, following her passion, she founded 37 Oaks, a consulting firm that develops solutions around Retail + Innovation + Economic Development. This business supports independent retailers, independent brand owners and economic development organizations to increase sales and distribution outlets, profitably.
