The annual Wells Street Art Festival is back for its 41st year, and with it another great two-day entertainment line-up!

Join us on Saturday, June 13th and Sunday, June 14th for an amazing two-days of premiere juried artists, great food from some of Old Town’s best restaurants and, of course, the Bud Light main stage in the rear parking lot of O’Briens Restaurant (1528 N. Wells). Complete information about the Wells Street Art Festival — including the full entertainment line-up — is available at our brand new event website.

On Saturday, we kick things off hard with a set by Goodbye Hero at 12:30pm.
With a focus on Top 40 pop, rock and dance, Goodbye Hero has quickly proved itself a go-to festival band in the Midwest. Lead by J. Lee (Jennifer Lee Knuth), the band-formerly-known-as “Your Villain My Hero” is definitely worth checking out.

Following them, the WSAF mainstay Jesse White Tumblers will roll out their bounding-boards for a one-hour showcase of spectacular leaps, flips, dives and derring-do. If you haven’t seen these incredibly talented kids and young adults (led, as always, by our long-serving Secretary of State) you have to show up between 2:00pm-3:00pm and witness the strength and skill on display.

From 3:00pm to 5:30pm, we’ve got a double act of the traveling Howl At The Moon dueling pianos. Do some sing-a-longs of your favorite songs or see if you can stump the keymasters with an obscure favorite! Hint for wise guys: Yes, of course they know Billy Joel’s “Piano Man.”

Taking us into the evening of Day One is Stache at 5:45pm. Focusing on popular covers from the 80s, 90s and aughts, the men of Stache put on a high-energy performance every time out. Grab a beverage, grab some street food and head to the main stage for some great tunes and good times…

Which leads us to the Saturday headliner for our 41st annual Wells Street Art Festival!

Sixteen Candles ChicagoWe’re very excited to once again have Sixteen Candles grace the WSAF main stage this year, starting at 8:00pm and taking us aaaaalllllll the way to the end of Day One. Sixteen Candles deals almost exclusively in the magical musical era known simply as “The 80s” and they always give the crowd what it wants.

You know when that one song comes on the radio and you immediately go “Oooh, I love this one! I haven’t heard it forever.” That’s Sixteen Candles — come see them at the Wells Street Art Festival on Saturday, June 13th, for a joyfully-nostalgic trip down that musical memory lane.

Stay tuned for more Wells Street Art Festival coverage, including the breakdown of Day Two’s entertainment line-up.
