The Old Town Neighborhood Foundation (OTNF) is an independent 501c3 non-profit that was created to help finance projects in the neighborhood that enhance the quality-of-life in Old Town. that enhance the quality-of-life in Old Town. OTMRA provides administrative support to OTNF through a management agreement.

The OTNF is focused on community enhancement projects that will bring additional open space
to Old Town. This includes a re-design of Burton Place Park and a new park on north Orleans
Street.

 

 

Ongoing Projects

Burton Place Park

 

Burton Place Park is located in the heart of Old Town along Wells Street. Surrounded by historic
homes, the park is an important open space for the neighborhood’s history. In 2018, the OTNF
retained Jacobs/Ryan Architects (JRA) to design an update to the park that will enhance the
space for the neighborhood. Thank you to SSA 48 Old Town, a DCEO grant through State Senator Margaret Croke, CDOT, and the support of Alderman Hopkins’ Second Ward office for improvement in-process and to come.


Orleans Street Park

 

 

The Old Town Neighborhood Foundation has engaged The Lakota Group to develop a design vision for a new community open space along N. Orleans St. north of W. Schiller St. The aim is to create an exciting vision for this long-underutilized space.
