This week’s member spotlight is Cornerstone Children’s Learning Center.
Founded by the LaSalle Street Church, our nonprofit boasts accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the highest standard in early childhood education. Cornerstone offers a diverse and welcoming daycare and preschool, as well as school-age support for remote learning for children in the Old Town community. What makes us unique is our diverse population; Cornerstone embraces diversity, and is committed to providing a warm and welcoming environment for each and every child.
We are pleased to be located in Old Town and appreciative of the Old Town Merchants and Residents because the OTMRA has been very supportive of nonprofits. The OTMRA offers connections to a wide range of individuals and businesses in the community. Having spent over 20 years in Old Town, Cornerstone understands the value and importance of personal connection within the Old Town neighborhood, now more than ever.
We are taking many measures to keep our children and staff safe in the pandemic, with temperature checks every day, mask-wearing by everyone 2 and older, vigilant hand washing, extra cleaning and sanitizing, separation of groups, and limited access by any outside visitors. You can find more information about the variety of precautions in place on our COVID-19 Safety page.
Visit Cornerstone’s website to learn more about events and programs currently offered. Additionally, mention this Member Spotlight to Cornerstone Children’s Learning Center for a free week of tuition (the 5th week of attendance).
