Thank you for showing interest in our Back to school event. We hope to see you.
Youth for a Better Future is a non-profit organization established in 2010, with a mission to “”empower youth to become future leaders and servants of their community through positive mentorship.”
YBF most recently established it’s first youth center in Old Town and quickly started provided hands on programs to local youth. They provided mentoring activities in S.T.E.A.M., Health and Fitness and Cultural Exploration.
YBF now supports a community of over 3,000 low-income residents in Old Town, (formerly known as Cabrini Greeen), where more than half are youth.
YBF serves youth ages 4 and up while also providing resources to their parents. Their services include coding workshops, enriching field trips, confidence building workshops, job exploration and cultural immersion workshops. Other programs teach financial literacy, engineering, science, and fitness initiatives.
This summer, YBF ran a 6-Week summer camp that established partnerships with Microsoft, Wintrust bank, the Metropolitan Water and Reclamation District, the Edgar Miller Foundation and many more.
Please RSVP or donate to this event to help raise funds to continue our mission to create a better future for our Youth. All proceeds will be used to support our back to school initiative for the 2019-2020 school year.
School supplies donations are welcomed and encouraged.
